Apple tart with vanilla cream

Apple tart

Preheat the oven to 180°C (conventional or hot-air). Put the flour, ground almond, egg, yeast and Rice Dream in a bowl and mix everything together with a whisk. Then mix in the honey and oil. Line a baking tin with baking paper (this keeps the tart from sticking to the baking tin). Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Lay the slices of apple in the baking tray and pour the tart mix over the top. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. The tart can be served hot or cold.

Vanilla cream

Put the yolks and 200 ml of Rice Dream in a bowl. Sieve and add the flour. Mix well with a whisk. Then add the rest of the Rice Dream. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and place on a low heat until it thickens. Allow to cool. Serve with the tart.

  • 50 g ground almond 
  • 15 g yeast (3 teaspoons) 
  • 200 ml Rice Dream Vanilla  
  • 150 g honey (6 tablespoons) 
  • 1 egg 
  • 80 g vegetable oil (5 tablespoons) 
  • 5 apples 
  • zest of 1 orange 
  • zest of 1 lemon

 

Vanilla cream

  • 400 ml Rice Dream Vanilla 
  • 4 egg yolks 
  • 20 g flour
